In modern society, especially within the United States, the level of wrongdoing has continued to upsurge. Cases involving bribery, corruption, and theft among various individuals for material gain have continued to be reported. Besides, issues regarding conflict of interests and unprofessional behaviors, especially among well-known officials engaging through misconducts, and defective administrations, for instance, cases of incompetency and negligence, have continued to increase across the U.S. Moreover, misconduct has also found its way into healthcare sectors, whereby doctors wrongly diagnose patients in the educational system, employment sectors, and churches, such as sexual misconduct between church members and pastors. The issue regarding wrongdoing is getting worse each day due to the number of cases usually being reported. Therefore, there is a need for intervention by the state bodies, mainly the justice system within the U.S, to take charge.

Have you downloaded music illegally or cheated on college assignments or tests? Do you feel justified? Why or why not?

Personally, I have downloaded music illegally through search and download sites. For example;  Bit torrent indexing, and tracker sites, cyberlockers, and use of unlicensed pay for download sites. Usually, in Law, there is nothing like I did not know. It is an individual’s responsibility to comprehend as long as the issue of concern is in the constitution and has been formally gazetted. The fact is, downloading music illegally is considered an act of breaching copyright laws. However, despite engaging in such illegal acts, I feel justified because I violated the music owners’ right since they usually take much time and financial resources to invest in their music to get returns. Also, it’s a violation of an individual’s creativity, which instead of promoting it, an individual ends up being discouraged.
