In this essay, you will research a career field that you are already in or that you are interested in entering. You will write an essay about that career field that answers the following questions in thorough detail with specific examples and statistics:

1. What is the nature of the work in this field? What are the working conditions like?
2. What are the educational requirements to enter this field? Is further study required beyond a four-year degree? If so, what are the requirements to be admitted into a particular graduate program? What schools offer the graduate degree you prefer?
3. What is the earnings potential? (Include specific figures and statistics.)
4. What does the future look like for your particular career?

Papers must:

• be 3-4 pages long (not counting title page or Works Cited page)
• be typed
• be formatted correctly:
  • 1” margins
  • 12 point Times New Roman font
  • double-spaced
• include information from at least three outside sources, with proper citation (in-text citations and Works Cited page)
• be your own original work and writing.
• Cite any information you use from an outside source, whether you use direct quotes or not. If you use direct quotes from one of your sources, be sure to put that information in quotation marks. If you do not follow these guidelines, the assignment will be considered plagiarized and you will receive an F.
