PROMPT:

Now that we have analyzed contemporary theories on everyday life, culture, race, and gender, think about how your social or personal issue that you chose at the start of the session for paper 1 relates to at least 3 of the theories from weeks 4 and 5. The paper should be between 750-1000 words (about 3 to 4 double-spaced 12-pt font pages) and address the following:

  1. As you introduce the paper, provide a brief recap of your issue and introduce how you previously connected the classical and grand theories and which theories you will use from weeks 4 to 5. (about 100-150 words)
  2. How do the 3 new theories apply to your topic? Use information from the textbook to support your ideas. (about 350-450 words)
  3. As you conclude the paper, what have you learned about the strengths and implications of applying the theories to your topic? (about 300-400 words)

Be sure to paraphrase in your own words and cite the textbook and any other materials that help you form your thoughts. Use at least 3 to 4 in-text citations of the textbook in APA format with your paraphrases of the information.
