SCENARIO: You are the analyst at the center of command that coordinates a rescue mission of possible survivors of a small airplane accident which had to do a forced landing due to heavy snow storm and icing rain condition in a tall-tree forest area. The pilot called SOS through radio stating that the engine seized due to freezing rain ingestion. Some few seconds after that moment the airplane disappeared from the radar due to low altitude. There is no any radio signal received to locate the airplane. Your role as analyst is to locate the airplane position based on available data and to determine the speed at the moment of impact. If the speed at impact is smaller than 150 km/h there are very high chances that many survivors exist. You divide your task in five questions (problems) to be solved sequentially.
