Introduction to Health Policy

APA formatted papers use “level headers” to divide sections of the text. It is suggested by faculty that you use the level headers we suggest as we have taken them directly from the rubric that will be used to grade the paper. Center “first level” headers and type in a bold font. Introduce the proposed health care legislation of interest to you.

The policy should focus on one of the following health issues: health promotion, illness reduction, patient safety, or work place safety, etc. The health policy is one at the state, national, international or global level. Point out the significance to the nursing profession. (Statistics can be very powerful in supporting the significance of the selected health policy.)

Indent at the beginning of every new paragraph throughout the text of the paper. Begin your paper with an introduction of at least half of the page. The introduction presents the problem discussed in the paper.

Note that artificial spaces between sections are present to lengthen the template for you they are not meant to be used as is in your paper. A minimum of 6 complete and a maximum of 8 pages of text (title page, abstract, and reference page are not counted in the total) are expected for the paper.
