Solution Analysis & Proposal
Overview
The Solution Analysis & Proposal will analyze available solution strategies and propose the sustainability solution(s) that you think will best address the sustainability problem that is the focus of your final project.
Instructions
Analyze available solution strategies and propose the sustainability solution(s) that you think will best address the sustainability problem you described in your Problem Analysis. Use evidence to support your assertions. This should be 3-4 pages (excluding References).
- Proposal of Solutions/Strategies: Introduce the problem and briefly summarize the available solution strategies. Propose the solution strategy or strategies that you think will best solve the problem.
- Affect of Solutions: Describe how your proposed solution(s) affects the components of the problem-analysis model (from the problem analysis assignment), especially adverse effects, stakeholders, causes, and drivers. Use evidence to support your assertions.
- Evaluation: Evaluate your proposed solution(s) on the following dimensions: social, ecological, cultural, and technological. Which aspects do the solution(s) address? Aspects they cannot address? Explain and justify your responses.
- Be critical of the solution(s) you propose. Why did you chose this/these solution(s)? What are they accomplishing? And what are their areas of weakness? Keep in mind that no solution is “perfect.”
- Trade-offs: Identify the trade-offs that may exist in implementing the solution(s). While the solution(s) is aspirational, make sure it is realistic and can be implemented.
References: APA Citation Style with at least six external, authoritative (e.g., peer-reviewed) sources, and four class sources.

- You may include newspaper or internet articles and interviews for descriptions of solutions in use, but try to use academic (peer-reviewed) sources whenever possible.
