Assignment Overview:

Due to the increased number of veterans returning to the states with injuries related to limb loss, spinal cord injury and many other mobility issues, it has become necessary for Modern Health Medical Center to open a state-of-the-art rehabilitation unit.  The unit will have ten inpatient beds. While the veterans have obvious physical injuries, most have deep psychological wounds as well.

Assignment Directions:

Based on your knowledge of nursing management and leadership, please address the following items:

1.       Utilizing the current trends identified in the proposal, discuss the impact and implication these trends have on the organizational structure, function, responsibility, and authority.

2.       Create a comphrensive budget for the development of the new unit based on the analysis of system resource management. Include staff mix, FTE allocations, equipment, materials, and training.  Manage allocated resources, show ability to analyze unit needs.

3.       Discuss the impact and implication these trends have on the organizational structure, function, responsibility, and authority.

4.       Identify at least 5 current trends in health care
