Quality Improvement Plan Template

In this course, you develop an organizational quality improvement (QI) plan for a health care organization of your choice. Appropriate organizations include hospitals, nursing homes, ambulatory and surgery centers, home health, assisted living, health departments, hospice, rehab units, pain clinics, and cancer clinics. Choose a quality issue about which you are passionate and may implement in the future. A few examples are reducing patient falls, medication errors, and improving nurse response times.

The complete QI plan must be no more than six pages. Organize the plan as you would present it to the organization’s board of directors for approval. Do not copy and paste sections from previous parts of the plan. Instead, summarize previous assignments, prepared with the intent to present the most important points of your research.
