Topic-Should Abortion be legal?

Abortion is when the female get rid of her pregnancy before it results into the birth of a child. Abortion is one of the major topics in the United States that continues to prompt a debate across different platforms and it’s an issue that comes up in every presidential debate in the country. Everyone have different views and different believes when it comes to abortion whether it should be legalized or not. I think abortion should not be legalized because it invades on the right to life of the unborn.

From the Procon.org Website, the three reasons listed under Con section are:

1) Abortion is murder.

2) Abortion may lead to future medical problems for the mother.

3) Abortions cause psychological damage.

Abortion is murder:

This is interesting because people have debated this for so long and science have been a major part of it. Is abortion killing? And the answer is yes, because you taking a way a potential life, which mean it is killing. The most noticeable thig is about this point is the fact that is it a life if you decide to end it early? And at what point is it a life. This idea might be true if the person took too long before they do the abortion because the longer you take the more time the baby forms.

Abortion may lead to future medical problems for the mother:

This is interesting because science shows that in some cases there is a side effect to abortion, and doctors tell the mother that there might be a chance that things could go wrong depending on what type of abortion. The noticeable thing about this point is the fact that there are studies that show the exact percentage of how many times have abortions had medical problems on the mother. In this case, this point could true because studies show that there are actual reported medical problems that happened to the mother.

Abortions cause psychological damage:

This point is interesting because the mothers have emotions and going through abortion could defiantly cause a psychological damage. The mother could go through depression after the abortions because she thinks she killed her child and she could overthink it and even have doubts of ever having child and it could seriously give the mother a psychological breakdown because it is a big decision. It is noticeable because everything in life have psychological effect on you some are positive some are negative but this is defiantly one that the mother can’t decide how should feel if she have gone with abortion. There will be regrets and it could turn into depression. This is true because psychological damages could occur if the mother goes on with the abortion and have regrets after the fact.

Conclusion:

I think abortion should be illegal because of the following three reasons, first it is taking away the life of an unborn child, second it could lead to medical issues for the mother. Finally it could have psychological damage on the mother which could leave to depressing.
